Known for its culture, food, and history, Italian vacations offer tremendous variety of things to visit and see.

If one is interested in ancient history, one can visit Rome to view the Coloseum, one of the largest amphitheaters ever built during the Roman Empire. Also when in Rome one can visit, the Trevi Fountain. This fountain is one of the most famous fountains in the entire world. Many patrons toss coins into the fountain for wishes and good luck. There is a fantastic choice of apartments in Rome that one can rent as a departure point to enjoy these sites. In addition, since many of the cities of Italy have been in existence for thousands of years, one can visit many periods of architecture and admire the beauty of buildings and churches.

If one is interested in art, than visiting Florence may be your destination. Cimabue and Grotto, were the fathers of Italian painting, lived in Florence. Florence is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, due to its art, culture and architecture. There are many elegant parks, gardens, piazzas, and galleries to visit. Other famous people and their work can be visited here as well such as Dante, Michelangelo, and Galileo.

When staying in Italy, many vacationers have choices between hotels, bed and breakfasts, or renting apartments. Renting apartments gives visitors a taste of “living” in Italy rather than being a tourist.

Regardless of what cities you visit, Italy is a great vacation choice for yourself or your family. There are plenty of interesting things to see and do.

Original language of Rome is Latin. Venice is located at the northern region of Italy which is a “City of Water” and a “City of Bridges”, “City of Lights”. In fact, Venice is a place to be visited at least once in life time. Calabria is the best city located at the southern most location of Italy, located at the “Toe of Italian Peninsula”. Almafi coast is a coastal area along the southern most side or the Sorrentine Peninsula of Italy. The entire Italian peninsula is described as the most beautiful location to be visited if a chance is given.
